Privacy Policy

We, the Operators of this website, Concept Elements Inc, provide it as a public service to pilots and aviation enthusiasts. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes the conditions under which this website is made available to you, and how data obtained during your visit may be collected and used. By using this website, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these terms, please discontinue accessing or using the website. The Operators may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time without advance notice; the effective policy is always the one posted here. This Privacy Policy applies to wx24pilot.com and the Wx24 Pilot app, and, as a common Operator, alongside the separate privacy policies of the Operators' other sites, driveweather.com and driveweatherapp.com.

Children's Privacy

The Operators are committed to protecting the privacy needs of children, and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities and interests. The Operators do not intentionally collect information from minors, and the Operators do not target this website to children.

Links to Non-Operators Web Sites

This website may link to third-party websites, such as the App Store, for your convenience. If you follow those links you will leave this website; the Operators do not control those sites and cannot speak to their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site before submitting personal information to it.

Types of Information We Collect

Log files: requests to this website may be recorded (including IP address) for system administration, abuse prevention, and understanding aggregate traffic patterns. Personal information: information you choose to give us directly, such as your name and email address when you submit the Contact form on the map page, used solely to respond to you.

Cookies and Analytics

This website does not use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking or analytics script of any kind today. Nothing on this site sets a tracking cookie, and no usage data is collected beyond the ordinary web-server request logs described above. If that ever changes, this policy — and the cookie notice linked from every page — will be updated first, and, for visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, any new non-essential tracking will default to off until you affirmatively opt in.

This website does store a small amount of information directly in your browser (localStorage, not a cookie), strictly for basic functionality: remembering, for seven days, that you dismissed the "Get the App" banner, so it does not keep reappearing on every visit. This storage is strictly necessary for the site to behave as you'd expect, is never used for advertising, and is never shared with or sold to third parties. See the cookie notice linked from every page of this site for how to review this.

How We Use Your Information

The Operators use aggregate, non-personal request-log data only for reporting on website usability, performance, and effectiveness, and to improve the site. A Contact form submission is used only to respond to your message.

Information Sharing

The Operators do not sell, rent, or lease any individual's personal information to anyone. We reserve the right to supply information to an organization into which the Operators may merge in the future, or to release information where we reasonably believe it necessary to protect our systems or business, to comply with applicable law, or to respond to valid legal process. If you are located within the European Union, your information may be transferred to the United States; our basis for the strictly-necessary storage described above is legitimate interest, and we have no analytics processing today that would otherwise require consent.

Security

The Operators make reasonable efforts to protect information submitted through this website, including firewalls and other security measures on our servers. No server is 100% secure, and you should take this into account before submitting personal or confidential information on any website, including this one.
