Wx24 Pilot Features
The wx24 Pilot app parses and processes ever changing aviation weather reports and delivers them in a way that pilots can read in seconds.
Because airspace, runways and frequencies don't change much, but weather does!
TAFS @ Enroute ETA
TAFs shown at the time you're expected to be abeam of that airport.
Never before have pilots had the ability to read over 100 enroute TAFs @ ETA - at a glance!
Each square represents a 1 hour section of a TAF at the time you're expected to be abeam of that airport.
Pilots can have great confidence of superior weather awareness with the wx24Pilot app. Understanding the dangerous conditions for a vast amount of weather information just takes seconds.
Visual ETA on Visual TAF
A visual ETA marker overlaid on a Visual TAF gives pilots a very quick read of forecast
conditions at ETA.
The graphic illustrates a base MVFR TAF Segment with a IFR TEMPO at ETA. The IFR TEMPO segment shows thunderstorms.
Set up to 18 different weather thresholds to get an instant indication of when and where your
personal minimums are exceeded.
It's like having your own flight category with much more sophistication than visibility and
ceilings, because TS happens in VFR!
Find the best departure time by swiping vertically and see the TAF segments
in correlation to the changing departure time.
Quickly scan an entire 24 hour period for your flight in mere seconds.
the bigger picture
Another unique and innovative feature of the wx24pilot app is that the app loads the right prog & sig-wx chart based on departure time.
The flight path is also rendered on the chart. No more guessing where fronts and pressure systems intersect your flight path.
EVEN MORE CONTEXT
wx24 Pilot automatically displays the correct Significant Weather chart based on your ETD and
valid chart times.
Intelligent Airmets & Sigmets
Why waste time looking at airmets or sigmets that are not a factor?
The wx24 Pilot app filters by altitude - floor and ceiling, severity, type and
IFR Alternate Check
Get an instant indication if an alternate airport is required with the visual ETA and a 1 hour
pre and 1 hour post shaded area.
Its All about Time
When you talk weather you have to talk time. So why not show Metars, TAFs, Air/Sigmets and TFRs
in context of a clock for a very quick visual reference?
Complex TAF Visualization
The highlighted circle in the image captures the superior presentation of the wx24 Pilot
The TAF shows 3 different flight categories over 2 overlapping TAF segments:
Prior to 22:00 Zulu a VFR with MVFR TEMPO, at 22:00 Zulu a BECMG from VFR to MVFR and at
23:00 Zulu an overlapping IFR TEMPO.
WARNING: Don't do it
There is a lot in the app and you probably won't get it unless you take the time to get it. But
once you do you'll be happy you did.
If you DON'T have at least your age in minutes to go through the tutorial slides and/or
waste your time.
